About the event

Sankhya Yoga is one of the six major philosophical treatises of Vedic knowledge. It explores the material universe and its mechanism and source through analytical study of its components. The philosophical system gives an intricate insight of the visible world, the subtle realm and beyond. The doctrine describes elaborately the soul’s (puruṣa) relationship respectively entanglement with matter (prakṛti).

It constitutes the necessary knowledge required for proper practice of the eightfold Yoga process (aṣṭāṅga-yoga) and as such marks the basis or starting point of the latter.
