In a world driven by external validation, we often lose touch with our inherent worth. This talk explores introspection as a pathway to reconnect with ourselves beyond roles, expectations, and achievements. It highlights the difference between introspection, which fosters growth and self-awareness, and rumination, which keeps us trapped in overthinking. Through reflection and self-compassion, we explore ways to break free from rumination and cultivate self-worth, self-love, and inner resilience.
Devahuti Shaw (IN) is a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Humanities whose interdisciplinary doctoral research examines how legal systems conceptualize and represent nature, with particular attention to legal personhood and the governance of natural resources. She holds an M.A. in South Asian Studies from the University of Heidelberg and a B.A., LL.B. from the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata.
