About the event
An introduction to the great classic of Vedic literature
Bhagavad-gītā (Gītā Upanisad) is one of the foremost Sanskrit textbooks, comprising the most essential philosophical themes and practicable techniques of Vedic thoughts and culture. It elaborates on the timeless intriguing topics, eg. mind-control, meditation, self-realization (ātmā jñāna), yoga, work (karma), nature (prakṛti), time (kāla) and the Supreme (īśvara), and its practical applications in one’s life – which are especially relevant in today’s modern times.
Kanai Krsna Das is a distinct Sanskrit scholar, specializing in Paninian Grammar, and an alumnus of Govt. College of Engineering in Pune (India), holding a degree in mechanical engineering. Since 2011 he leads the life of a monk and teaches Sanskrit grammar and commentaries on Vedic Vaisnava literatures (Bhakti Shastras).
